Honestly tell her that you were just thinking about her and remembering [insert story here]. Don't bring up anything JW, unless it's to admit that you're no longer attending.

I need some advice please!!! I'm torn on what to do.
by Gojira_101 inthis morning i woke up thinking about a friend of mine, i will call her sara...here's some of the back story.. we grew up together and have always been good friends, even though we wouldn't stay in touch, we would just pick up where we left off.
sara has always been different, and i never really knew what it was growing up, but i didn't care, she was my friend.
so we lost touch for many years and then about 4 yrs ago when i went back to my home town, we reconnected.

Reality is entirely too boring. After sitting through mindless meetings listening to Bible legends of miracles and talking to angels and demons, as well as the WT myths of invisible kings, angels accompanying JWs door-to-door, and old dudes in Brooklyn channeling God, only fantastic stories will ever "grow legs" and spread among JWs. Entire yearbooks filled with confirmed stories of JW experiences can't even come close to how an "experience" starts getting spread and exagerated between mouths and ears.

Welcome!
Glad to hear that you have friends that are also fading. This forum is a great place to get support and share stories, but having friends in real life that understand is so very helpful.

Brother placed 'Teach" Book to President Obama? WTF?
by Smoky ini just read a post on monday aprox 9pm on the "escuela del ministerio teocratico/theocratic ministry school" on facebook (posted in spanish).. it is talking about an experience given in a ohio, circuit assembly.. it reads that a brother that was a worker at the factory obama was visiting, was able to preach briefly to president obama and place the book 'what does the bible teach' during a quick meet and greet.. i think its bullshit.. anyone ever heard of this experience at a assembly?.
i dont have a cpu, and my phone is not working, for me to copy, translate and post on here for you all to see.
maybe one of you can?.

I heard the story back when I was in bethel that a sister related her experience at a Discrap Crapvention of placing some litteratrash will Prez. Clinton. But she couldn't keep up the lie and later admitted that it hadn't happened. I have no idea whether it was true or not. WT is full of it's own urban legends. And lies spread faster than truth.

Should be required viewing for "return visits" to see the reality of JWs behaving badly.

Caleb is back! in The Case of the Almost Stolen Lollipop
by sd-7 ini just happened to wander past my stepdaughter as she was watching some jw videos this morning before school, and i noticed a 'lesson 4' video, about not stealing.
hopefully it's youtube'd already and someone will post a link, i can't do it at the moment.. the plot is simple.
caleb's in the grocery store, and his mom just tells him [off-camera] 'no candy today.

WT sure didn't put much effort into this. More like the usual "_____ makes Jehovah sad" type of sound-bite rather than an actual lesson. WT is still a long way from anything as catchy, creative, and educational as Schoolhouse Rock.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODGA7ssL-6g
And even Sesame Street is lightyears ahead of WT on accurate teaching:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZhEcRrMA-M
WT doesn't even know the difference between "near" and "far" as clearly explained by Grover in this clip from ... 1975 !
